Watson Parker –– “Dean of Black Hills History”; college professor; author of Gold in the Black Hills; Black Hills Ghost Towns (with Hugh Lambert), and Deadwood, the Golden Years. Dr. Parker is also a South Dakota Hall of Fame Awardee (2011).

Chuck Rambo – Past Sheriff, Director of Fort Meade Museum, Bear Butte State Park ranger, and history teacher. The author of a lovely book on Bear Butte, now out of print, but you may be able to find a used copy on Amazon.
Bobbi Sago – Librarian / Curator of the Leland Case Library, BHSU. Author of several Black Hills books, including co-author of Spearfish, Black Hills Gold Rush Towns, Black Hills National Forest: Harney Peak and the Historic Fire Lookout Towers, and Black Hills Gold Rush Towns II, Fort Meade Peacekeeper of the Black Hills Bobbi was also a West River History Conference Board Member, She was instrumental in digitizing and cataloging the extensive collection of Watson Parker’s Black Hills Notebooks, which are available online.
